Data Scientist with an established track record of leading delivery teams and growing junior talent. Experienced both as an individual contributor and a technical lead/people manager, I am looking for a new role which allows me to leverage my deep technical skills to add direct impact.

Having previously spoken at Money2020 and Fintech Europe on the future of technology and finance, I am comfortable addressing audiences of all seniority levels and technological proficiency and have significant experience in influencing large scale organisations towards the adoption of AI and Machine Learning.

Lead Data Engineer for Guy Carpenter London's Global Specialties team. Responsible for the modernisation of both the data and software lifecycle, including developing new full-stack applications, new data pipelines leveraging dbt and databricks and managing a team of senior data engineers.

Tech Led and line-managed 6 EMEA DS/ML engineers as part of a global, cross-functional team responsible for the AI transformation of JP Morgan's technology. My primary focus was in the emerging space of OperationsAI, improving the efficiency, efficacy and risk profile of the internal infrastructure stack. Here I delivered rapid, iterative value through a series of explorations into previously untested domains.

  • Develop Deep-Learning models for anomaly detection using high-frequency log data from a range of infrastructure and hardware
  • Managing a team of 6 data scientists ranging from junior (graduate) to senior (PhD). Responsible for managing workloads, day-to-day management and the longer term growth and development of the individuals and the DS/ML capacity of the team
  • Delivering AI-driven products into production. Responsible for the simultaneous delivery of multiple products in a range of domains. Lead several small teams of Data Scientists through EDA, PoC, MVP and into production
  • Identifying new opportunities to leverage AI to add business value. Meeting with product owners and technology teams across the firm to help drive the AI transformation of JPMorgan technology
  • Communicating results, progress and key findings to a range of stakeholders in the form of emails, presentations and other media targeted to a range of seniority levels and technology competency
  • Evaluating external vendors and technology providers for potential firmwide adoption. These technologies range from start-up to mature and have the potential to add benefit to the firm. I discussed potential benefits with vendors and stakeholders and ran small, internal PoCs to assess value whilst following all security and safe-guarding processes
